Color Spectrum Afghan

Here is my first venture into crochet. The Color Spectrum Afghan. I found the pattern on a Caron Simply Soft yarn label, but you can also download the free pattern here. The pattern is almost mind-numbingly easy. It is worked in half double crochet throughout, and the color changes are minimal. I used Caron Simply Soft yarn in Berry Blue, Light Country Blue, Sage, Sunshine, Persimmon, and Autumn Red, and a crochet hook size H8/5mm.
Clearly there is still work to be done on this project with weaving in the ends. The Monster has consumed my life, or at least my crafting life. I recently read it is helpful to wash your piece before weaving in the ends. This is supposed to help ensure they don’t come loose, and I think I will try it whenever I get back to this project.
